Unleash Your Inner Power: Embrace the Journey of a Divine Alchemist – by Shree Devi Mayi Ma

Become a Divine Alchemist

by Shree Devi Mayi Ma

The Awakening of Amrita: A Divine Alchemist’s Tale

Far,  far away in the land of Samsara, in a world filled with duality, misery, suffering, and despair, there was a young girl called Amrita, a beautiful being of light who loved everyone and all animals. As Amrita grew up, accumulating baggage from her childhood and being conditioned by her environment, she felt lost and began to desperately seek the meaning of existence in this barren land of darkness.

As the days went by, Amrita fell into an abyss of gloomy depression and anxiety. Her mind became agitated with thoughts of despair, sorrow, anger, insecurity, and frustration—even suicide.

Empowering Insights from the Divine Mother

One day, Amrita developed a dangerously high fever. In her last few moments of agony, she gasped for help from the Divine Mother. “Please spare me, Mother. I want to live and know who I am.” All of sudden, an inner vision of the Great Cosmic Divine Mother appeared in Amrita’s Ajna chakra, her third eye. The Divine Mother blew an ethereal flow of effulgent life-force energy into her and whispered within every particle of Amrita’s being.

“My child, awake up! You are a walking miracle, yet you do not realize it. In this realization lies freedom. So walk upon Mother Earth consciously as if it were your last day. From alertness to mindfulness to profound awareness, that is the inner pathless path of yoga. You energetic field is your secret magical wand. It is not the outside world that is affecting your state of being and attitude, and troubling your mental state. Everything that you are seeking is already inside you, buried within. It is YOU who are unconsciously creating your biochemistry with your own thoughts, words, and actions. You are a Divine alchemist! You are one hundred percent in charge of your own biochemistry, which is generating within you every moment. No other human in the world can create your feelings and emotions, or your mental landscape, perceptions, sensations and your energetic field.”

Embrace Your Inner Divine Alchemist

Divine Mother continued. “My child, you alone are capable of these emotions, feelings, thought patterns, energies, and perceptions. You are creating your world as you go. Either you vibrate at a lower frequency energy, which is afflicted with depression, hurt, anxiety, fear, resentment, envy, frustration, anger, jealousy, hatred, distrust, arrogance, and duplicity. Or you can choose to emanate at higher vibrational frequency energy of light, with Divine love, compassion, kindness, benevolence, nurturing, joy, bliss, inclusiveness—even experiencing your Divine presence.

Activating the Divine Alchemist Within

“When you activate your inner power to consciously choose to empower yourself with mindful daily empowering energy habits, then you can start tapping into your full potential, your Divine garden within you—the 108 chakras within your subtle body of which you can spin and vibrate. The truth is there is no Divine plan. Only remember that the plan is for you to realize that you are the Divine. Don’t seek outside. The Supreme lover is within the inner shrine of your heart.”

After that last word, the mystical voice and vision of this white light disappeared. Amrita sprang from bed feeling completely rejuvenated and euphoric. A new sense of freedom and joy emanated from her. Amrita had forgotten her true Divine essence. But now she was awakened to the sacred Divine treasures hidden within her inner shrine.

Are you like Amrita, our heroine, living your days unaware of your inner power to create your destiny? When you awaken to this insight, you will find it’s the most liberating epiphany because it means the end of feelings of victimization, co-dependency, and tyranny. Even when our world seems to be in a state of chaos and turmoil, darkness, and transition—like it has been with the pandemic, warfare, and inflation—it is crucial that we all choose to live mindfully, vibrating at higher frequencies on our planet.

Cosmic Energy: The Divine Alchemist’s Tool

“Everything in the cosmos is energy, even thoughts are made out of energy.

Scientists affirm today that everything is made of the same intelligent energy manifesting and expanding in billions of different forms, what the maharishis saw many thousands of years ago. This energy is prana, the infinite, omnipresent, and vital life force that animates every living, sentient being, and the universe. The cosmos is overflowing with it.

Every moment of your life, consciously or unconsciously, you are making decisions that affect your destiny. This is how we collectively create our physical world as co-creator. What kind of contribution do you want to make to this world? Choose carefully because you have immense inner power. That is the phenomenal gift from our Creator. Because we are inter-beings, all interconnected by one web of the Divine, the entire planet is affected by our collective co-creation.”

The Divine Alchemist’s Journey to Consciousness

From alertness to mindfulness to awareness to pure consciousness—that is the journey of the Divine alchemist! Use your magical wand mindfully, compassionately, and consciously, with profound awareness to create the most amazing existence for you, and everyone on the planet. You can blossom your entire inner garden with daily empowerments and ride the wave of life gracefully. People may praise you or trash you; no matter. Keep the same humble focus, pointed to the Divine. Nothing of this world can disturb you; only ego or mind will affect you if you allow it.

Unlocking the Divine Alchemist’s Power

What is important is your volition beyond your thoughts, words and actions. Karma forms a memory into the physical body and subtle body as Samkaras—impressions. Your Samkaras become your Vasanas—your tendencies. Your tendencies shape your energy habits. Your energy habits create your destiny. To become an empowered Divine alchemist is to become mindful and conscious of what the maharishis called the sheaths, the koshas. How you work with them and how you transcendent them is the key of your alchemy!

Koshas: The Divine Alchemist’s Sheaths

Since ancient times, the yogic tradition has viewed the human as a composite of five major sheaths, as discerned more than 3,000 years ago by the revered Taittiriya Upanishad. These sheaths, or koshas, are like envelopes. Each of the five envelopes is composed of finer and finer vibrating energy. Many maharishis and ascended masters have referred to these sheaths as layers of an onion, each representing a different substratum of our being—from the largest to the subtlest. However, some of them have said these envelopes are not our ultimate, true essence, but that beneath them all lies the bliss of the true eternal and absolute universal consciousness (Nirgun Brahman).

The first envelope is Annamaya kosha, the physical sheath—the largest and densest. It is made up of the food (anna) we consume daily. To keep the body healthy, use a daily practice of ancient hatha yoga asanas. It’s best to consume an organic vegan diet with at least 50 percent of it being fresh, raw, nutritious food with a high content of pranic energy, as this will keep you vibrating at a higher energy frequency.

The second envelope is pranamaya kosha, the energy sheath. This is composed of the invisible vital life-force energy (prana), which holds the body together by sustaining and governing your biology; it regulates the functioning and growth of your organism, and your respiratory, circulatory, digestive, and other systems. Pranayama purifies, energizes, replenishes, rejuvenates, and revitalizes your gross body and subtle body; it expands your field of energy. The most essential aspect of becoming a Divine alchemist who radiates light is to gain mastery of over your conscious breath.

The third envelope is the mental sheath called Manomaya kosha. A jabbering mind is the action of this mental envelope. The Divine alchemist who becomes more aware of their mental sheath through mindful practices with tools and other methods can free themselves from unnecessary mental fear, anguish, agitation, and unhealthy thoughts and can also learn how to master and manifest their objectives and dreams. The health of your Manomaya kosha can be highly enhanced by the daily practice of mantra chanting, and empowerments. Mantra yoga calms the agitated wave of the mental sheath by appeasing the individual with ease, stillness, and serenity. Pranayama keeps you vibrating higher, calms the mind, and helps you keep it at a distance.

Most individuals get stuck here, and do not know how to transcend it. A certain type of purifying kriya pranayama is also highly effective to be able to distance yourself. That is one approach to keeping the mind still. The other approach is to train the mind with mindful practices, tools, and Japas. In my experience and my teachings, these two approaches are extremely effective to still the mind when they are combined together, and you learn to master them as a Divine alchemist.

Vijnanamaya kosha is the fourth envelope, and is often viewed as the wisdom sheath because it communicates to our direct experience of higher faculties such as discernment, intuition, wisdom, and insights. It acts as the golden bridge between the universal absolute truth and our conscious mind. It is through the Vijnanamaya kosha that mystical experiences occur. Because this wisdom sheath is so related to the Tantra yogic tradition, it is often hidden away in many people unless they start to access it through genuine tantric yogic practices and daily meditation. The ancient Rishis, mystics, and yogis placed great importance on accessing it.

Over the years as spiritual practices, contemplation, mindfulness, and meditation become richer and more profound for you, you start accessing the wisdom sheath—resulting in the blossoming of a greater sense of clarity, perception, guidance, intuition, wisdom, and insights, and vibrating at much higher energy frequencies. Having access to your Vijnanamaya kosha allows you to gain mastery over your magical wand by creating the course of your own destiny.

The fifth envelope is the bliss sheath, the Anandamaya kosha—the transcendental self. The word “ananda” from Sanskrit has often been misunderstood. It signifies intense bliss or ecstasy resulting from no apparent cause. In a state of ananda, the mind remains calm, yet in universal consciousness—in a quiet, intoxicating ecstasy regardless of duality. In other words, this bliss sheath leads you to experience your natural state of being. When the great sages, mystics, yogis, yoginis, and masters speak of “bliss,” this access to Anandamaya kosha is the fruit of the Divine alchemist!

Ultimately all five envelopes are manifestations of the divine power of shakti energy. One of the most important outcomes to achieve with the phenomenal yogic practices, mindful practices, and learning the art of mastering yourself and becoming a Divine alchemist is to align and harmonize the first three envelopes—the physical, energy, and mental sheaths—to access the magical gateways of the subtler Vijnanamaya kosha and Anandamaya kosha. Then, you know you have gained a certain mastery over your magical wand and energetic field.

Becoming a Masterful Divine Alchemist

So, beloved, learn to master your magical wand consciously, brew your alchemy, gain mastery over your destiny, and embrace the Divine magic wherever you are. You have the choice to manifest beauty and experience your Divine presence. Only you can allow someone else to hurt you. In the state of surrendering, of abandoning yourself, you have already won the victory because a fragrance of equanimity will exude from you like a blossoming garden.

Surrendering begets expansion of consciousness. Power is not about conquering and dominating individuals and animals. True inner power is a supreme Divine quality that is intrinsic to your ultimate nature, embracing all living beings as the Divine Mother.

Remember that your thoughts vibrate, and can manifest. So watch mindfully your thought patterns, and restrain your daily consumptions, which your are ingesting from the media, social media, and your environment. Your equanimity and magnanimity reflect your evolution and your consciousness. Mastering your breath, your sheaths, your volitions, your thoughts, and your emotions—all of which affect your energy—is mastering your life and the course of your destiny. Just as the Divine Mother taught young Amrita in the faraway land of Samsara.

The higher you vibrate with prana, the more inner power and light you emanate. From untruth to truth, darkness to light, ignorance to enlightenment—this is the ultimate path of the Divine alchemist of becoming the light!

The Ultimate Harmonic Union within You

Unleash Your Divine Feminine Energy

divine feminine energy

Shakti means power, energy, dynamic force, and primordial cosmic energy. Mythologically, Shakti represents Divine feminine energy and is often personified as the goddess, consort to the divine masculine god, Shiva. But at the most profound level, Shakti transcends gender. Metaphysically in the yogic tradition, the creative energy of Shakti (or Divine Mother) gives rise to the manifestation of all phenomena in the cosmos. Her dance creates the beautiful and the sacred in the cosmos. And that same power is also within you.

In the Yoga tradition, Shakti is regarded as a sacred, Divine, and primordial cosmic force, and is seen as representing the dynamic principle of the universe’s feminine power energy, as a Devi, a Goddess. The creation is often viewed as a play of Shiva (masculine) and Shakti (feminine), symbolizing the duality of existence. Shakti represents the dynamic and creative aspect of the universe; Shiva, the male principle, represents the un-manifest supreme consciousness. These two principles can be observed everywhere. Their union creates astonishing forces, and our physical body is the microscopic mirror of the macroscopic play of the cosmos reflecting these two principles. Regardless of our gender, both the masculine and feminine aspect is within our subtle body. The subtler our being is, the more expansive and freer we become. In this altered state of consciousness, the individual can transcend and go beyond boundaries. Yoga is all about enhancing our perceptions to experience and see things as they are. Ultimately the journey on the spiritual path is to move from the grossest to the subtlest, where boundaries are crossed— from bondage to freedom. Inner beauty is realizing and experiencing the oneness of existence. That is to be in YOGA.

This balancing of the Divine Feminine with the Masculine within your own being is long overdue. It’s the ultimate harmonic union, what we call Shiva/Shakti in the yogic tradition. The old patriarchal system dominated by racism, conquest, greed, and oppression is dying out as it no longer serves the highest good for all living beings on our beloved Mother Earth.

The Power of the Divine Feminine Energy

The power of the Divine feminine Energy remind us always that through strength lays in vulnerability and receptivity. The Divine Feminine energy is a mystical and mysterious subject! Actually, let me rephrase that. The power of Divine Feminine Energy, what we call in the Yogic tradition “Maha Shakti” or “Kundalini Shakti”, or the “Divine Mother” is beyond a phenomenal subject. The Divine Feminine energy needs to be demystified because too many people are confused about what really is. How does it manifest? “But I’m a male. Is it inside of me? “Do I have it too?” So you may asked. So beloved, the Divine feminine energy has been around forever. It is the manifestation of the cosmic creative primordial life-force energy. Everything you see manifesting around in the cosmos is her power. It is her grand empowerment, and you may call it Divine feminine energy because it embodies certain values and qualities.

The Divine feminine energy, Kundalini Shakti or Divine Mother is all the same. They’re synonymous, and it’s not a religion, nor a philosophy,  doctrine or dogma. It is a yogic science which evolved from the ancient  Yoga tradition which dated back so many thousands of years. This yogic science has been tested by thousands of thousands of Maha Rishis (Great sages), yogi, yogini, spiritual masters, ascended masters, and Saddhus over ions.

 Demystifying the Divine Feminine Energy

divine feminine energy

The misconception and misunderstanding about the Divine feminine energy always has been to believe this energy is for the female gender only. But it cannot be further from the truth. Regardless if you have reincarnated in a male or female body, within your own subtle body Kundalini Shakti is dormant at the root base of your spine located at the muladhara chakra.

Kundalini, which means “coiled” in Sanskrit, is the most significant psycho-spiritual force of our subtle body. It is often associated with Devi, and goddess worshipping. Many traditions call kundalini by different names. In Japan it is “ki,” in China “chi,” and in Christianity “the Holy Spirit.” Whatever you wish to call it, kundalini is the secret pathway to the divinity within us. Over the centuries, kundalini—often called the “serpent power”— came to be regarded as Shakti, whom the great Rishis of India worshipped as the Divine Mother (Kundalini Shakti). Shakti is accessible to all willing ones, anytime and anywhere. This dormant cosmic energy is often depicted as a snake coiled at the base of the spine in the sacrum bone of the pelvis in the muladhara chakra, the first of the seven most important and fundamental chakras. The Sanskrit word Shakti means “empowerment,” or “to be able.

Devi Ma talks in depth about this amazing subject in Becoming the Light Inner Journey mastery (online program). The subtle body is also a fascinating subject. There are 114 chakras in the subtle body, but only seven of them are the most fundamental ones for the human evolution and consciousness, and for the rising of kundalini ascension. The Maharishis calls it “the Serpent goddess.” We have been seeing this iconography for thousands of years within the Yoga tradition. It is astonishing to remark that from one tradition to another or even a religious tradition how the meaning of this iconography of the snake could be so misunderstood. In some religions, the snake represents evil, and in the Yoga tradition it is the opposite, representing Divinity and the ultimate of Self-realization, enlightenment, and liberation of our being. The question is; is it activated or not within you? Is it ascended or not within you?

In the Prana Maya Kosha or the energy body (one of the sheath of the subtle body), we have in the subtle body 72,000 nadis. The 72,000 nadis arise from the three most fundamental nadis – the left, the right and the middle – the Ida, Pingala, and Sushumna are just pathways allowing the life force energy to flow. We may call them channels of life-force energy called prana in the system. As you become more mindful and aware of them, you will realize the life force energy is moving in established pathways. I explained this more in depth in Becoming the Light Inner Journey online Mastery program, and my major book. The Sushuma which is the most outstanding nadi is located in the hollow of the spine. Ida represents the Feminine and the Pingala, the masculine.

The Ultimate Harmonic Marriage of the Divine Feminine & Divine Masculine Energy

divine feminine energy

We see those two principles of Divine feminine and Divine masculine energy animating in the universe. Everything  the cosmos is this manifestation is the play of Shiva/Shakti. In term of principle, Divine masculine energy is pure consciousness, still, what we call “that which that is not” means Shiva. A principle of pure consciousness that is omnipotent, omnipresent and unchanging is always eternal and infinite. Then, the cosmic primordial life-force, that creative power energy of Shakti which means “empowerment” manifests. And you can see that Divine Feminine energy at work in the universe.

Thus, when Shiva/Shakti, (pure consciousness and primordial cosmic energy) merges as one, we see the manifesting of physical existence. That is what is sustaining the whole animation of this cosmos to bring about the manifestation of the physical realm. When they marry each other, the physical creation animates. Throughout the ages, the Maha Rishis were far advanced in their knowing of the absolute truth. They could see how quantum physics and the laws of the cosmos operate. The merging of Shiva/Shakti, the masculine and feminine principles within us, is the ultimate harmonious and necessary union within our own being to experience our full human and Divine potential. Their union creates phenomenal forces allowing us to realize and experience our own Divinity from within. When they merge as one in the one-thousand-petal lotus chakra on top of our head, they are in perfect harmonic marriage. That is your full blossoming of your Divine garden!

Our precious blue and green planet is in grave need of a renaissance of celebrating the Divine feminine principle of energy. The great cosmic Divine Mother or often call “Devi” is that Divine feminine principle energy.  An individual who is experiencing the whole of existence as oneself is in yoga, in union. The word for a female would be an yogini, and for the male counterpart, a yogi. This Divine feminine energy has been suppressed and oppressed throughout the centuries by manifestations of many patriarchal religions and societies. For instance, history tells of the Dark Ages where thousands of women, high priestesses who were extremely evolved spiritually, who worshipped the Divine feminine aspect and had many extraordinary siddhis (spiritual powers and paranormal abilities ascribed to the Tantric adepts and masters in tantra), were burned alive in public places as witches. They were wrongly perceived as a major threat because of their spiritual powers. For over four thousand years, the masculine mindset has been destroying, oppressing, and exploiting Mother Earth, its animals, and many women and elders.

The Divine Feminine energy principle is characterized with many attributes— such as nurturing, nourishing, compassionate, loving, giving, healing, creative, intuitive, and benevolent—and can be very powerful and fierce in a host of positive ways. Many of these qualities have been lacking to some degree on our planet for thousands of years. During the Paleolithic and Neolithic times, many tribes venerated the feminine principle energy manifested in the physical form as a goddess or deity. Over the centuries, matriarchal societies (with a feminine principle mindset) flourished in peace, harmony, and reverence for Mother Earth and all living creatures.

The Resurgence & Renaissance of the Divine Feminine Energy

how long does a spiritual awakening last

We can’t expect someone else will be affected by the ravage of destruction from the patriarchal domination and conquest for so many thousands of years. It is a tremendous collective karma we as human species have accumulated. It is right here now in our faces. Now the entire planet is suffering from this collective karma. As a consequence, all of us are suffering from the consequences and effects, even the animals and the insects. That’s why spiritual awakening and growth is of upmost importance now to bring everyone back into balance this harmonic, divine, sacred marriage within your own being.

As you can hear and see, there is an extremely urgent need to rebalance these male and female principles within ourselves. As I spoke, Shakti is the primordial energy of the Source of creation, and is regarded as the goddess Mother, (Adi Shakti) especially prominent in Tantra when kundalini is awakening and ascending. This dormant kundalini energy within is the most significant psycho-spiritual force of the subtle body. This Divine Feminine energy tends to be more associated with the female gender in general. Perhaps our nature is more receptive and open to it. The fact that we women are giving birth to life could make us more open to it, though any gender can deeply connect with this feminine energy principle. We all have within our beings the masculine and the feminine energy aspects.

When the Divine Feminine energy is emanating from us, it manifests in these precious valued qualities…. helping the people, the animals, homeless children, and the environment, etc. Either it be for the soil or the oceans, there are many causes reflecting the qualities of the Divine Feminine energy such as creativity, caring, unconditional love, nurturing and living in peace and harmonious with all living beings. See how a healthy mother always care, always nurture, and will love unconditionally. So, together let’s raise the consciousness. Let’s bring about the revival of the Divine feminine energy for Mother Earth’s own survival and for thriving for our children future generations, for their children, their grand and grand children. Let’s do it together. Are you willing? Join Devi Ma and learn how to unleash the Divine Feminine energy. As Devi Ma says of this journey, “We cannot master HER, only surrender to HER.” Tap into this primordial cosmic energy so you can also rebalance these two polar energies—Shakti/Shiva—within your own subtle body and physical body.

In Radiating the Light advanced program, you will learn every aspect of unleashing yours Divine Feminine energy. The new emerging paradigm of this feminine energy is expressed in equanimity, community, equality, generosity, and profound spiritual union. Devi Ma imparts not only the ancient spiritual wisdom, but she also draws on authentic methods to help you experience this healing and transformative energy. The Siddha Sat Chit Ananda Kriya yoga meditation is an invaluable tool that will assist you in this transformation.

How long does a spiritual awakening last what happens after a spiritual awakening

Do you wonder what a spiritual journey and awakening are like? How long does a spiritual awakening last? And what happens after a spiritual awakening? These questions are some of most common questions for a new sincere seeker. They come up again among my followers and disciples.

Beloved… just imagine for a moment, thousand years went by and you were frozen. Frozen completely—your mind, your heart, everything—and all of sudden you start to unfreeze. The mind is starting to function. Your heart is starting to pump blood, it’s starting to feel, to experience life. Your eyes are seeing things in a state of wonderment with a new clarity and perception just like a child. Enlightenment is just that: breaking boundaries of your ignorance. It is waking from untruth to truth, darkness to light, ignorance to enlightenment.

Everything is starting to become animate. You become sensitive and vulnerable, and you experience new sensations and intense feelings. This is what spiritual awakening and spiritual growth are. I use this analogy because I remember when I was a little child. We loved the snow! Did you do play in the snow when you were a child?

Growing up in Canada in Montreal, it was super freezing, like below zero. We used to make igloos and hide in them. My brother Coco and I would play in the snow until we were shivering and completely freezing. Sometimes our mother would let us play until nine o’clock at night on the weekend. We would come back and be so red, completely frozen, and we’d sit down by the furnace to warm up. Our faces and bodies would be burning as we unfroze.

Did you do that when you were a child? Have you experienced what it is when you played outside and got completely frozen? It creates certain pain, right? It’s like a numbness that starts to unfreeze, and it hurts. Despite the pain, Coco and I would still go back the following day, play again, and we would transcend that pain. Spiritual awakening is, in a way, like your own unfreezing. Do you see and hear what Devi Ma is talking about?

Spiritual awakening is like your own unfreezing because your energy is rising up in the upward main chakras in your subtle body. You are starting to experience the physical reality with a new different perception and sensation as your energy expands and rises in the seven most important chakras. I go into this subject in great depth, including the subtle body and kundalini activation & ascension, in my spiritual memoir, Becoming the Light: Realize Your True Enlightened Nature, and even more so in Becoming the Light Inner Journey mastery program, which gives you empowering tools, insights, and revelations about your own spiritual awakening, growth and ascension.

Is the energy starting to ascend in your Anahata, your heart chakra? Is your beautiful heart starting to expand, embracing everyone as the Divine? Is your mind starting to make a distance from your agitated thoughts and monkey mind and transcend? By remaining open, vulnerable, and receptive, you are allowing grace to flow.

When you embark the spiritual path with a spiritual master who guides you, you become a genuine sincere seeker, especially if you meditate every day and have a sadhana with a kriya yoga—for instance, like Siddha Sat Chit Ananda kriya meditation. Then purification can start slowly, happening no matter what the karmic samskaras (impressions) and vasanas, your karmic tendencies, are.

This is the karmic structure which Devi Ma talks about frequently. The impressions and the tendencies that have been formed into the karmic structure for you to become conscious, mindful, and aware so you can process them. The karmic structure is just a memory, because karma is just a memory. So as you are processing those karmic structures, it can stir up painful experiences.

For example, a lot of repression of a dysfunctional family can become karmic impressions. Let’s say you had a mother or father who was very abusive to you. Or you were sexually abused and it was a terrible experience for you. Such repressive environments, which are very unhealthy and teach you to become codependent and where you suffocate and never feel love, are deep into the karmic structure. You never felt worthy or good enough. That is an example of a samskara that can haunt you for the rest of your life if it is not healed and purified.

All of these impressions are imprinted deep inside the physical and subtle body. So you had to repress them because as a child, you could not cope with the experience. This is the natural mechanism for a child to protect himself or herself. So, the memories become repressed inside, and that’s how people often fall into major depression later on as they age. And it was the case with Devi Ma.

So as you awake and grow on the spiritual path, you become more conscious and aware of these samskara in order to process them. They need to be purified by the universal primordial energy, what we call Shakti in the Yogic tradition (or Divine Mother). Some people call this God, the Divine, or so many other names. Purification is just getting rid of that garbage, that karmic load.

How long does a spiritual awakening last? It’s important that I share about my own spiritual awakening, and ascension, which might be contrary to what other spiritual masters believe. They might not agree with what Devi Ma is saying here. Though, there is a certain amount of suffering and pain that comes along through spiritual awakening and growing. Let’s face it: When those impressions—karmic memories deep in the subconscious mind, in the subtle body, even in the physical body—come to the surface and are being healed and purified, you have to become conscious of them in the here and now. And so, it can be traumatizing for some seekers for a short period of time.

How can it not be painful when it comes out, when the memory comes to your consciousness? If I look back when I was with Gurudev so many decades ago, I would have explosions of sobbing. I call them emotional eruptions. They were like volcanos for hours and hours lying on the ground in deep mourning, and sobbing—not knowing why, or what it was all about. The reality is that was an eruption of karmic structure being purified from past lifetime.

When you are in the process of unfreezing, you experience everything new. You see things like you’ve never seen before with more clarity and discernment. How long does a spiritual awakening last? When you are awakening, you are experiencing everything anew, yet the beauty and the grace of it is that you are expanding your boundary, your horizon, and especially breaking your own karmic limitations. You are starting to rediscover your true nature, and slowly you are experiencing glimpses of your Divine presence. It can be a rollercoaster ride on the spiritual path as you awaken.

Though in the long run, I assure you that the benefits are so phenomenal, and certainly outweigh the spiritual process of healing and purification. You start achieving mastery of yourself and your own destiny. You start becoming joyous, equanimous, at ease, and blissful for no apparent reasons, just from your true Divine nature. All the invisible strings and entanglements start falling off one by one over the years, and you are no longer a puppet, and a victim of circumstances and conditions. You start seeing things as they are without the lens of conditioned personality.

How long does a spiritual awakening last

Three major things can happen after your spiritual awakening:

1-) You start experiencing Kundalini ascension, meaning Maha Shakti (the primordial energy often known as the Divine Feminine energy or the Divine Mother in the yogic tradition) starts to rise by opening a new main chakra as to ascend.. As a consequence, you might be experiencing what we call in the yogic tradition Spontaneous kriya. These are mystical and mysterious natural spontaneous occurrences, such as trembling, shaking, weeping & sobbing, speaking in tongues, practicing acrobatic asana, mudras, pranayama (different rhythmic breathing) of their own accord, and much more. This is a time where you need enough more support and spiritual guidance.

2-) As you advance and progress on the spiritual path, you may start experiencing different mystical experiences like going into different kinds of samadhi, such as Sahaj Samadhi or Bhava Samadhi just to name a few.

(Go to Shree Devi Mayi Ma’s YOUTUBE channel for more insight on this subject.)

3-) There might be a long period of time during your spiritual growth and ascension where you do not want to do anything anymore, as if you lost all desires. You are basically not interested at all in what you used to love. Friendships shift considerably and you start attracting new people in your life with a different energetic vibration and frequency. The length of time varies for each unique sincere seeker. Yet despite all this, you are feeling equanimous, and have attained a certain level of profound inner peace and bliss. These three aspects of spiritual growth are very beneficial and are great signs of successful progress on your journey of spiritual awakening and growth. You are definitely evolving and growing by leaps and bounds!

How long does a spiritual awakening last?

What happens after a spiritual awakening and how long does a spiritual awakening last cannot be answered just in a blog or short video. A spiritual awakening can last your entire lifetime. It depends on your karmic structure, and if you are on the spiritual path and practicing kriya yoga, meditation, hatha yoga, practicing mindfulness, Mantra and Nidra yoga, etc. It also all depends on your openness, receptivity, and vulnerability to grace to flow in your life. Many conditions, variables, and factors need to be considered. Everyone is unique. I highly suggest you read my spiritual memoir to delve deeper into this subject in order to gain insights, epiphanies, and revelations from my own realization.

As you grow on the spiritual path and journey, this will affect and impact the life you want, and the magnificent opportunity to tap into your full potential as a human being to self-realize and experience your true divine nature—what we call in the yogic tradition Sat Chit Ananda (Absolute truth, omnipresent, omnipotent, pure consciousness, bliss). How long does a spiritual awakening last? Spiritual awakening and growth is like a bud in the mud. With time and the right conditions, it will grow into a beautiful fragrant lotus. So the faster you get there, the better for you because you will radiate the light of the Divine, of our Creator, to all living beings wherever you go.         How long does a spiritual awakening last what happens after a spiritual awakening

So don’t beat yourself up and say “I can’t do this, and I will never have mastery over myself.” It’s within your reach. On your spiritual path and journey, it is crucial to have diligence, perseverance, self-effort, patience, and support and proper guidance. Eventually, your own inner guru will fully awaken. Often that’s exactly what is missing on the spiritual path, and when you are going through a breakthrough, you need even more guidance, help, and support, like rays of sunlight which emanate to see the beauty of your being.

One last thing I feel is extremely crucial to share with you. I have seen in my own journey that right when you are about to make a big breakthrough, it feels the hardest—and you want to quit and run away. It appears as if everything in your life is falling apart. You’ve been hit with something that looks like misfortune, or the end of the world has come!

You think you’re going crazy, but you’re not, beloved. It is the opposite. You are just unfreezing. You are starting to experience life with a different perception, with a different energy field, and you are breaking through your limitations. You are transcending and purifying.

This has been my own experience many times. In the worst, most unbearable times where you are about to make an amazing breakthrough, which leads to a huge decision in your life, you feel like you are going insane. This is exactly when you need to persevere even though you might think you are not making progress. You feel so much suffering it seems unbearable.

Beloved, you are not alone. You can do it, and this spiritual process is telling you that you are crossing through a major boundary, and that you are breaking free from your self-fabricated jail. You can transcend that, and you can gain mastery over yourself. It just requires a lot of perseverance, spiritual guidance, support, and empowering yogic tools to transform you.

I’m here for you to help you see with clarity that some of your samskara are still there, like thinking that you cannot do it, that you cannot achieve or attain a certain level of mastery in your life today. With time you will transcend that suffering. Don’t carry your wounds on your back as trophies. Use them as tools of dissolution—dissolution from bondage—and just allow yourself to be in surrender and for grace to flow. The deeper your longing to know and merge, the faster your spiritual unfoldment will take place.

How long does a spiritual awakening last what happens after a spiritual awakening

Shree Devi Mayi Ma, July 2022

Free yourself from your own self-created jail, your karma. As you do just that, you help to free other living beings as you are emanating the light in your own entourage. Gautama the Buddha once said that, our own enlightenment serves the whole of humanity. I definitely witness that around my entourage. Spiritual growth seems never ending. It is a spiritual unfolding process, an evolutionary process that can take you to the deepest state of samadhi and liberation, of the beyond …

Loving devotion, receptivity, humility, openness, vulnerability, and profound surrender are the secret ingredients for success on your spiritual journey. Allow for a profound reverence to take place within you, and bow down, even physically bow down to the Divine. It is an important practice. You breathe… and you breathe through it consciously and mindfully offering yourself. When there is too much pain and suffering to cope with, don’t repress it, just allow it to come out and be in touch with it as you are consciously processing it. Otherwise, you are just accumulating more karma again. Allow Divine love to flow through your entire being for all living beings…

Why seeking Enlightenment is for the fools?

Why seeking Enlightenment is for the fools

Seeking enlightenment

Enlightenment, the great cosmic joke. Yes, you are already enlightened, and that is the absolute truth. So why seek enlightenment? And seeking enlightenment is for the fools, you know, it’s like a bird who is looking to fly and say, where is the air, where is the sky? Enlightenment is the same, beloved? Because you see, this is where the big confusion comes in… there is absolute truth. Absolute truth is omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient. And it’s eternal, and it’s immortal, its infinite like there are certain laws of the universe, like cause and effect and the law of attraction. So it is absolute truth, it is permanent; it will never change, it is omnipotent. So the absolute truth is, we all are in this very present moment, we are enlightened because we are true spirits; it’s our true nature to be enlightened.

Why do you may get confused on your Spiritual Journey ?

Seeking enlightenment

I remember all throughout my spiritual journey, my awakening (spiritual journey) was always the big confusion that I was seeing all the time. I even see it with my followers. And it’s always that confusion between absolute truth and relative truth. So, let’s explain relative truth. Relative truth is in direct correlation with another in a relationship. It’s related to the physical plane. So relative truth is like; most human beings are not enlightened per se unless they have self-realized. Though, let me rephrase that…what Devi Ma means is that people accumulate conditioning and a lot of baggage, and most people do. It is universal, and so that’s the nature of human beings with ego and mind to constantly be conditioned, brainwashed, and accumulated. You see, it’s in relation to something else. So, this is the relative truth that human beings have been conditioned to, either from a dysfunctional family, social media, government, or authority. Whatever there is in the physical realm, we live in a duality where we constantly deal with relative truth. So the relative truth is, one of them is most people grow up in a dysfunctional family.  Therefore, they accumulate so much garbage, and the karmic structure is so loaded. And so that’s why ultimately, people live in suffering and misery, and some are in emotional pain because they haven’t gotten rid of all the garbage. Because that is the nature of the physical realm. There is duality, yet the absolute truth is that we all are interconnected by one web. It’s like a universal web, like a spider web, all interconnected by one source. There is no absolute separation between all of us. And to experience that deep down and that non-dualistic experience of oneness is rare for most people.

Even though if you look at the Maharishi, Ramana… I have a profound, beautiful reverence for this spiritual master who brought the path of self-inquiry. Self-inquiry directly channels to the Source is a very hard experience for most people because the nature of the physical realm is to live in relative truth. To live bombarded by all the karmic structure you’re carrying by your personality, Asmita, the ego identifications, by your mind; by all the samskara, the karmic impressions, the vasana,  the tendency, the conditioning, the accumulation, all of that is a big load that you’re carrying. So it’s very hard for most people to be able to transcend, feel and experience their true nature at the moment. Self-inquiry is a beautiful path, but it’s difficult for most people. Aren’t you caught in your mind all or, most of the time, the jabbering of your mind? Most people get caught in what we call the mental body.

Why transcending the Mental Body is so crucial?

Seeking enlightenment

You must transcend the physical body, and  the mental body, what we call in the yogic tradition the Mano Maya Kosha, and then the Pranic Maya Kosha, the energy body. So when you start transcending these sheaths, you can really tap into beyond the Vijnana Maya Kosha, the etheric body to really transcend into the bliss body, the Ananda Maya Kosha. Self-inquiry which is to go and tap into the Source, to go straight to the Cosmic Mind is very challenging because you have to transcend all those envelopes, what we call in the yogic tradition, the maya kosha, these sheaths. Devi Ma says that it is not impossible. It is certainly possible! But for most people it’s very difficult. You might get a glimpse of it and that’s so beautiful, but it’s very hard to maintain it.

Enlightenment doesn’t happen like a big bang. If you look beloved, for example at a seed, you plant a seed of a peach tree, right? And you’ve seen the sprout growing, and then there is a little plant growing with the right conditions, the right elements because everything has cause and effect, the perfect conditions have to be there for the sprout to grow, and for the right amount of protection, and as it grows the conditions have to change. Too much sunlight, too much rain, or not enough rain, or too much protection from the elements could hamper the plant. Then the plant starts growing, growing and growing, and with the right conditions, the right effects, and the right amount of sunlight; too much sunlight could completely burn out the young new plant, or too much rain will completely destroy it. So with the right conditions, you can pierce through these envelopes, especially transcending the mental body and go beyond your limitations and boundaries.

Why a journey on the Spiritual Path?

Seeking enlightenment

As the baby plant grows, grows and grows, it’s like the spiritual unfoldment on your journey on the spiritual path. Then it unfolds, and it finds some obstacles, overcomes it and grows and grows, and then becomes a strong tree. See how long it takes. It’s a process, and then suddenly flowers come, and in a different season then you’ll start seeing little fruits starting to grow for it to finally bring that sweetness in the peach. I love peach, it’s such a delicious fruit, especially when they’re ripe. They’re so delicious! But it’s a long journey from seed to become a peach, and it’s the same for enlightenment, for this unfoldment. So, Devi Ma always says, in a way, yes enlightenment is the greatest joke, a cosmic joke, because ultimately within our own spirit, our own being, we all are enlightened. That’s our true nature. But when we come into the physical realm, we are facing relative truth; we are facing duality. Ah one important part….the duality we are experiencing in the physical world is how we are experiencing this world. How could you know from love to hatred, or good to bad? You see, beloved? So, if you look around, all around, we see duality all over in this realm. In fact, some countries like in India experiences extreme duality for instance. If you haven’t gone to India yet, I highly recommend that you go. It’s a phenomenal experience because you will see extreme duality there. And it’s necessary to change your perception.

The physical realm cannot be without the relative truth and without the duality of opposites, because that is what keeps the physical realm alive and manifesting. Without it, the physical realm would collapse. That is how phenomena come into existence in this plane. And yet, the absolute truth at the very core of who we are, our true essence of who we are, is there is nothing that needs to be done. Because the bird is out of the cage, can fly and is free. And it is our true nature to be free, infinite and abundant in a complete expansion of consciousness with no limitations, no duality, and no separation. Because ultimately this is the challenge human beings have here on Earth, is to come back to the present moment, and to experience their true nature. Because of the karmic structure that most people have, the bags they carry makes it almost impossible not on the path. It requires a lot of sadhana (spiritual yogic practices), a lot of Kriya yoga (pranayama), meditation and mindful practices, etc. These are powerful ways to transcend and experience to your true nature. And for other seekers who are a lot more evolved, and who don’t have so much of a karmic structure, it might be easier to transcend and experience your Divine presence. You see, Ramana Maharishi was already living, bathing in his own Divine presence, already fully enlightened, so without doing anything.

It was very easy for Ramana Maharishi, but try to sit there forever, for weeks and months on and on, and just to be in your Divine presence, to close your eyes and do nothing, be nothing. Your ego and your mind are not going to allow it for most people. But the point of this, beloved, is don’t seek enlightenment because ultimately you know it’s there. All you need to do is just get rid of garbage. That’s all. It’s like peeling an onion. This expression has been used, I believe, as an example in Buddhist language. It’s like layer after layer. This has been my experience that enlightenment is not a big bang. It is really a dissolution of ego identifications, and it’s a process. It varies from person to person, again depending on the conditions and their karmic structure.

Do not Seek Enlightenment

Do not chase enlightenment. Not every peach tree will grow the same way. Where they’re planted, how they were planted, in which climate they are in, what kind of soil, and what kind of sunlight and nutrients the tree receives. So, it depends on your karmic structure. It will also depend on the kind of sadhana you do. It could also depend on the kind of spirit you are and many conditions around you. The best thing is, don’t worry about any of this, just be in a state of abandonment and a state of wonderment like a child. Don’t seek enlightenment because when you realize it’s a joke, it’s the great cosmic joke, you just go back within yourself and just enjoy the ride. Just know that your heart is the gateway to God, is the gateway to the Divine within yourself. When you enshrine Divine love there, and you know this is the gateway, if you seek something, don’t seek enlightenment because it can become the biggest obstacle for you just chasing enlightenment. It’s elusive for most people. Just seek within your heart, the shrine of Divine love, and you are sure on the right way to experience your Divine presence, and your true nature.

So, how do you know that someone is enlightened? How can you tell? That’s a question also often asked. Well, my own experience, from my own realization, and I speak with a tremendous, profound experience of phenomenal spiritual, transcendental, mystical Kundalini ascension, and this was an unfoldment for so many lifetimes. And how could you tell? Well, first, you will notice everything change about you, even your physiology changes. The eyes… there’s such a Divine light, pure light coming from the eyes, not a light that you see in most people.

It’s challenging to put this into words. A pure light emanates from this being as a Divine presence, an energetically field. The way they speak with so much wisdom. Just something unusual about their presence, this presence is something that needs to be experienced. It’s something, just the glowing of the aura is different and ethereal. It’s a state of vairagya, of colorless. It’s a state of pure Divine light, consciousness and love. It’s vibrational field that you feel, ultimately is the true nature. So don’t seek enlightenment. It’s for the fools and just enjoy the ride. Go make your heart the shrine for the Divine, and there you will find Divine love, and you will experience a beautiful journey on your path. And don’t worry if you don’t have this glimpse of your true nature and presence yet, it’s an unfolment and just trust the process. It can be the most phenomenal soul journey!

Discovering Your Divine Light

Discovering Your Divine Light

Your life may feel out of control at times, but the trials and tribulations of everyday life can lead you toward an inner radiance that shines brighter than the darkest days. In fact, a strong spiritual practice can guide you toward your ultimate life path.

You are a powerful being capable of emanating radiant light and experiencing a profound spiritual transformation. Today in this insightful video of one of Shree Devi Mayi Ma ’s Divine satsang, we’ll share some of her wisdom that will allow you to deepen your spiritual inclination using yoga, meditation, inner guidance and carry you toward your Divine light.

Join us in this profound wisdom, insights and guidance at Devi’s Grace as Shree Devi Mayi Ma guides us on how to get in touch with our Divine light through “Drinking Bliss” – the best cocktail to have on a moment-to-moment basis!

Begin Your Morning By Feeling Divine Grace

Some people awake to a blaring alarm and a laundry list of responsibilities racing through their minds, while others lazily roll out of bed with the residue of forgotten dreams still hanging in the cool morning air.

However, Shree Devi Mayi Ma encourages us to begin each day with a fresh new perspective just as a child in a state of wonderment. When you get up in the morning, smile and express gratitude for another day on Earth. Allow yourself to become an instrument of Divine grace and make small steps towards discovering your Divine light with incantation, mantra and mindful practices.

Embrace each new day as a great opportunity to make yourself useful and serve all living beings, with what Shree Devi Mayi Ma calls, “Karma Yoga” by performing a compassion act with no expectation in return. Open your heart, love other beings and take compassionate loving actions with the most beautiful and pure volition to give and share yourself.

If life’s stressors are weighing you down, allow yourself to feel the lightness of being by living joyfully and mindfully in each moment. Simply take five mindful minutes to ground yourself through your conscious and mindful breathing. Shree Devi Mayi Ma calls this “inhaling God.” Expressing your incarnation aloud in the cosmos before hopping out of bed can change the course of your life.

Remember, you need to make the time to express profound gratitude for a new day and set your intentions for the day ahead. Use the power of incantations and yogic mantra. Shree Devi Mayi Ma goes in depth in her programs with this phenomenal subject on how to raise your energy into higher vibrational frequency.

What is it that you wish to accomplish or manifest? Would you like to become more compassionate? Would you like to become more patient?  Would you like to be more fulfilled and happier? Would you like to feel more at ease, at peace and blissful? Give yourself this moment to yourself and transform your life one moment at a time – one day closer to rediscovering your Divine light.

You Have the Power to Master Your Destiny

As Shree Devi Mayi Ma was experiencing advanced stage 3 breast cancer which had metastasized into her body, she nearly passed away from a severe anaphylactic shock reaction induced by potent and harsh chemotherapy. During this intense, otherworldly experience, she felt the presence of Jesus Christ. In that instant of crossing over, a miracle happened to her. To learn more about her entire profound story, grab a copy of her major acclaimed book, Becoming The Light: Realized Your True Enlightened Nature

After experiencing the agony of dying and being reborn, her life was never the same. During her cancer journey, she experienced a natural sense of Zen every morning as she observed the morning sunlight reflecting upon leaves dancing in the breeze. She still does, and that existential zen moment is eternal within her nature now. Just as Shree Devi Mayi Ma feels one with everything, you can too.

Although she experienced profound sickness within her body, Devi Ma (as many affectionately call her) maintained a high vibration in her mind while walking the spiritual path. Devi Ma was practicing spirituality for a decade at this point, but her connection to the Divine strengthened. Most people would consider a cancer diagnosis as a death sentence, but she found opportunity, grace and a blessing within her struggles and major crisis.

When doctors told Shree Devi Mayi Ma that they did not want her to undergo more chemotherapy treatments, she asked the ascended masters for Divine guidance regarding her life path. In a moment of profound inner knowing, she knew to chant the mantra of Mahavatar Shiv Babaji Gorakhnath over the chemotherapy and herself. Despite her doctor’s refusal to perform yet another round of chemotherapy, Shree Devi Mayi Ma knew that she was divinely guided and did not need to walk her path alone.

Find Divine Guidance Through Mantras  Chanting, Incantation, Mindful and Yogic practices

Shree Devi Mayi Ma began chanting this powerful mantra of protection imparted to her by her first spiritual master. This mantra comes straight from the Siddha Nath lineage of Mahavatar Babaji, who is believed to be a reincarnation of Lord Shiva. For those who may not know, Mahavatar Babaji is widely known as an ascended master who blesses his devotees while spreading Kriya Yoga worldwide. Many believe that he has lived in the Himalayas for thousands of years, and is still around on another plane.

When Shree Devi Mayi Ma was undergoing intense chemotherapy, she often used mantra chants to maintain a high vibration. Chanting mantras regularly is one of many methods to train your mind to stay at a high vibration, still the agitated mind, and harness the strength of will to persist in the face of suffering. Mantras also help transform your energy into higher vibrations.

While there are many chants, meditations, and incantations to choose from, Devi Ma explains in-depth techniques and yogic practices that you can use to raise your vibration in her programs Becoming the Light, Inner Journey Mastery, and Radiating in Light. In fact, Devi Ma has used these chants and tools herself to maintain a high vibration while undergoing chemotherapy, radiation treatments and several surgeries.

For instance, in Devi Ma’s first chemotherapy session, she felt an intense burning sensation as the nurse injected her with the first AC medication, which her nurse said was the most dangerous form of chemotherapy. However, as Devi Ma awakened her inner guidance through dedicated chanting, meditation and intense sadhana, her fear subsided, and the pain dissipated. Even her ex-husband was astounded by the transformation in her response.

In Shree Devi Mayi Ma’s program at Devi’s Grace, Becoming the Light Inner Journey online mastery, you can learn more about her profound guidance, teachings, practical and timeless wisdom which has been inspired by the ancient yogic tradition and universal timeless wisdom beyond the age, class, or religion.

In this program, you will unearth insights directly from Shree Devi Mayi Ma and her energetic transmissions from ascended masters and her previous spiritual masters. With this spiritual knowledge, guidance and yogic practices you can transcend the human experience as well with the sheer effort of your own diligence, effort and perseverance. Devi Ma says, “Yoga is the science of self-realization and liberation. The beauty with this science is you can test it on yourself, and have a direct experience! You do not need any belief system. Inner beauty is realizing the oneness of existence, that is yoga!”

Tap Into Your Inner Guidance

Even in the worst situations, there is always the possibility for a higher vibration, expansion of consciousness, a wave of Divine love and profound healing. Rather than criticize her doctors or live in fear, Shree Devi Mayi Ma found strength, joy, bliss and inner peace through the guidance of ascended masters, such as Jesus Christ, Maha Avatar Bababji, Shiva, Gautama The Buddha, and many others. Although she is not religious, simply recalling these profound spiritual and mystical experiences brings profound tears of pure joy, bliss and gratitude for all life offers.

At that moment when she almost died of that severe anaphylactic shock reaction, Devi Ma realized that her pain was nothing compared to those who came before her. She felt in her soul, spirit, and heart that her pain was nothing compared to the pain that Jesus Christ experienced on the cross. Just as Devi Ma realized she had all the tools and inner power necessary to heal her sufferings and pain, you can, too, as you walk along the spiritual path.

Ancient Yogic Practices and the Spiritual Path

An essential tool to work with along your spiritual path is, your Divine garden, within your body temple (as Devi Ma calls it). While there are 114 chakras throughout your subtle body, the Anahata, also known as the Heart Chakra, must be opened because it connects the upper and lower realms. The Sanskrit word “Anahata” means “unstruck.”  When this chakra opens it allows the energy to move upward in your subtle body. Then, you can start embracing every living being as God through your energy, and experience existence with a new sense of clarity.

Devi Ma says that your energy field is magical, and if you vibrate at a low frequency, your aura will not be able to emanate at the highest degree. Furthermore, when you’re vibrating at a low frequency, you may feel sluggish, moody, unbalanced, out-of-tune or even depressed about your inability to expand. She often speaks about the “magical wand” and how to use it in her programs.

If you’re struggling with the heavy feeling of a low vibration, Devi Ma can guide you toward the path to pure, expanded consciousness through yoga, meditation and mindfulness. Gradually, you will feel your heart begin to open so that you can spread the light from within to the world. With her loving guidance and energetic presence, you also can master the alchemy of well-being and achieve spiritual and life fulfillment.

In Radiating the Light, you will learn and be imparted into the Siddha Sat Chit Ananda Kriya meditation, a yogic kriya meditation practice that will teach you to control your life force energy, also known as prana. In addition, you will also experience the Yoga Nidra in the Womb of Creation Meditation. In this guided meditation, you will be able to enter an entirely new state of relaxation and rejuvenation that will gradually restore your life-force energy.

In Search of Love | Devi’s Grace by Shree Devi Mayi Ma

In Bhakti yoga, the most ordinary activity may become full of spiritual beauty, value, and significance if it is performed or expressed for the unfolding of selflessness and the expression of Divine love. The Source is manifested in every atom of this universe. So it does not matter at the end who is our sacred figure and/or religion, because the same thread connects us all. We are all interconnected as One like waves of the cosmic ocean. When we hurt someone, an animal or nature, we only are hurting ourselves. When we let someone down, we are letting ourselves down. Inner beauty is realizing and experiencing the oneness of existence. That is to be in yoga. Love and compassion are the pulsating heart of all spiritual paths and religions. When an individual feels Divine love within, the rest blossoms like a wild garden; compassion, understanding, reverence, harmony and respect all occur naturally within.

Thus, Bhakti yoga is universal and can be practiced by anyone from any religious, socio-cultural or economic background. The only criterion is to have longing for the Divine. This emotional force called “Rati” transforms the lover, shedding all psychological and emotional limitations, blocks and fears. One may wonder, is this path of love merely one of sentimentalism and emotional outburst? Bhakti yoga recognizes the amazing power of human emotions, and encourages devotees to wisely channel their energy to the highest Divine goal, the ultimate objective of existence.

Devotion liberates the imprisoned heart from its own fabricated jail, to feel again by letting go of life conditioning, depression, socialization and the false illusion of the ego. Devotion elevates and expands our consciousness to the Source by allowing our genuine nature to pierce through. Only then the intensity of the longing (Rhada) of our being can be felt— the cry heard. “Your life becomes utterly beautiful because your emotion has become so sweet. Through that sweetness, one grows. That is devotion,” says Sadhguru.

When one becomes passionate for the Divine, one opens up their heart to this entire creation, breaking down all man-made barriers. All religious, political, ethic and socio-economic walls dissolved. Divine love then flows abundantly. Bhakti Yoga is the alchemist healer for the brokenhearted, the lost soul, the wounded one who is afraid to love again for fear of rejection, commitment, vulnerability, pain and suffering. Decades ago my heart was shattered to pieces. I never thought I could ever love again. But my devotion to the Divine healed me. I have experienced the healing power of Bhakti Yoga. “If you use your emotions and try to reach the ultimate, we call this Bhakti yoga, the path of devotion,” says Sadhguru.

The element of surrendering is the core of Bhakti yoga, without it there

cannot be any devotion and pure love. “Thy will be done.” Most Westerns do not understand the meaning of this Eastern thought on “surrendering.” Many individuals view it as a demeaning or a submissive position. Surrendering is empowering spiritually. Surrendering is letting go of the strong demands of the ego personality, and getting rid of the noisy chaos of the mind which are responsible for our anxieties, fears, limitations, stress, worries, confusion and suffering. “Surrender” allows the eternal beauty of our true nature to shine thru. How can we deny ourselves the highest? Sri Sri Ravi Shankar (Gurudev) says on surrendering, “Have faith in the organizing power of the supreme intelligence and have the sincere feeling, ‘let thy will be done.’ That is a state of total contentment. The pinnacle of love is also called ‘surrender’- where your whole being becomes one with the infinite, where the river meets the ocean, where the activity reposes in rest, in the self.”

Offering flowers, incense, candles, and fruits to the Divine is not enough; it is like compassion without action. Offering every breath, every thought, every action with a heartfelt passion to the Divine is the devotion of the genuine bhakta; worship God in every particle of this universe. “What dawns in you is freedom and joy. Divine love is itself an end, is itself the fruit,” says Gurudev. Once Anandamayi-Ma said, “If one loses one’s being in the contemplation of the Divine name, one can merge oneself in the ocean of Heavenly Beauty.” Her entire life also exemplified this sublime path of love, so is my  my work—my breath.

In the state of surrendering, of abandoning oneself, we have already won the victory because a fragrance of equanimity will exude from us like a blossoming garden. Surrendering begets expansion of consciousness. Divine love brings us back home, healing us from the illusion of separation from the Source. The more we know and experience our ultimate nature, the more we become an instrument and expression of beauty, love, and compassion. Compassion is always the highest expression of love. Genuine love is just there like the sun radiating all over the planet, and all living beings. Its rays emanate without discrimination, without asking for anything in return. Divine Love is our very nature. It needs to be experienced, expressed. We have wings to soar. When Divine love is present, it can never go away. It is eternal and boundless.

Forever in search of eternal Divine love, I woke up one morning ….an epiphany had blossomed in my being like a baby lotus bathing in a tranquil pond. As a yogini, mystic, spiritual guide, vocalist, composer, artist and author, I realized my work is a spiritual ritual and devotion offered to the Divine Mother. I only sing, chant, write, compose music and paint for the Divine and help others and the animals to lose myself in it—as an instrument glorifying its wonder. Like the blue moon scintillating on a crystal lake, my work reflects our deepest longing to merge. Shakti, the primordial Divine energy permeates all that my being is.

Only from the garden of Divine love can compassion, kindness, and selfless service spring forth. When Divine love grows in one’s heart, all human values flourish. Serving humanity becomes natural. Jesus Christ’s greatest teaching was the simplest — the path of love. And love starts from within, radiating, growing like a wild flower garden. Love is expressed in compassion in actions, respect, understanding, cooperation, caring, forgiving and kind actions. Love is the very core essence of all religious and spiritual traditions.

Being in a state of Bhakti yoga does not limit us to only one branch of our living tree. When Divine love flows, devotion, right actions, and right knowledge naturally take off like a young dove on its first flight. The longing for meditation and asana (postures) grow strong. We start serving humanity as our beloved one, discovering and realizing the light within us. Swami Vivekananda shared with us long ago, “The great advantage of Bhakti is that it is the easiest and most natural way to reach the great Divine end in view.”

“The satisfaction of love is not the feeling itself, but in the joy that feeling brings. Love gives joy. We love ‘love’ because it gives us such intoxicating happiness. So love is not the ultimate; the ultimate is bliss. God is Sat-Chit-Ananda, ever-existing, ever-conscious, ever-new bliss. We, as soul, are individualized Sat-Chit-Ananda. True love is Divine, and Divine love is joy,” explained Paramahansa Yoganada.

“Devotion is a way of transforming your emotion from negativity to pleasantness. Just see, people who have fall in love do not care about what is happening in the world. The way they are, you think they are unrealistic. It is just that they have made their emotions pleasant, so their life is beautiful. That is the state of a devotee.” says Sadhguru.

Devi Ma with Sadhguru in 2018 when she offered him her riveting and acclaimed book, Becoming the Light: Realize Your True Enlightened Nature.

Thus bhakti yoga brings us back home, healing us from the illusion of separation from the Source. Experiencing Divine love is finding and experiencing our Creator, and is accessible to everyone. Then our ephemeral journey on earth becomes more beautiful,  more meaningful as the entire universe belongs to us and we belong to the each other. An blossomed heart is the path to the ultimate truth– transforming us to an expanded consciousness. We may not have control over wars, natural disasters and the economy, but we have the will to open up our heart to seek this ultimate transcendental and transformational love, finding our ultimate genuine nature and allowing the light to permeate our actions. It is our foremost responsibility. When we become aware of the intensity of our longing for the Source and invoke the Divine within, our cry is heard. Expressing devotional love helped my being liberate my imprisoned heart.

There is profound humility in surrendering, in abandoning oneself completely. In that surrender an inexplicable sense of serenity and bliss exudes from within. That presence is the Source shining forth. We can live with an ever expanding consciousness, or as a slave to our compulsiveness and early conditioned training and life accumulations. The choice is ours. The essence of wisdom is always timeless, universal and expansive. There is only one truth, one Source of creation manifesting in billions of different forms. What we call “God” is always within us. We are all interconnected. At the very core, we are a unique expression and manifestation of the Divine, a microscopic mirror of the macroscopic existential phenomena. Through the transformative power of yoga, the beauty of our ultimate nature shines through. Feeling a sense of belonging is a portal to knowing our ultimate being, realizing there is only One. Belonging is vital for reconnecting with the Divine within us.

The only boundary between our mastery and our dreams is us. That conditioned and brained-washed personality we do accumulate over the decades can cause the most intense misery and sufferings. When we are in a state of Divine love, physical boundaries melt away. We expand and stretch that love to all living beings . . . to infinity. Even power is an illusion. Our ultimate nature is naturally powerful because of its true Divine essence. Only within the depth of our inner shrine can we know and experience the truth. Genuine healing emerges from our expanding consciousness, and it transforms our being. The more our consciousness expands, the more we blossom. Divine love brings us back home, healing us from the illusion of separation from the Source. Our ephemeral journey on earth becomes richer, more beautiful, more meaningful as the universe belongs to us. Like a bamboo in a hurricane, we bend with resiliency, strength, grace and dignity without breaking. As long as there is a split between two entities, we will experience duality, exclusiveness, and hierarchy. There is only ONE!

Until we desperately long to know and seek the truth, it will never be revealed to a believer, only to a seeker. Listening is hearing with our heart, our spirit. Every particle of our being must be engaged. Every form has a unique sound, yet this whole creation is chanting a universal song. Have you heard its melody calling, vibrating within you yet?

From untruth to truth, darkness to light, ignorance to enlightenment, this has been my journey. In vain I had been seeking every corner of this earth, looking into every place of worship until one day I woke up in a valley of rose petals… experiencing thee in the shrine of my heart, resting in my sacred temple.

The secret of the Ancient Tradition of YOGA

The Great Blessing of Yoga – Celebration The Ultimate Union!

Inner beauty is realizing and experiencing the oneness of existence, that is yoga. The purpose of being on the spiritual path is to awaken your ultimate nature, and experience the oneness of existence in all living beings. That is to be in union with the Creator….God, by whatever word we choose to call this supreme Absolute intelligent consciousness. This rich ancient science of yoga always leads to expansion, boundlessness, oneness and liberation no matter what is your background, identifications, and life accumulations. Yoga is not based on any blind belief system, doctrine, or dogma. It is not a religion. Yoga is simply the science of experiencing the whole of existence as one by breaking all the boundaries of ignorance. It is the science of inner well being, of self-realization and intoxicating bliss. Any persistent and genuine seeker can experience the Divine presence within. Don’t seek outside. Within your body temple, within the shrine of your heart is the Supreme lover. Realize that you are the wave of the ocean of pure consciousness and Divine love. That is enlightenment by breaking all the boundaries of ignorance.

The Sanskrit word “yoga” literally means “yoke,” to unite. This union aims to dissolve, liberate, and unite oneself with the pure consciousness ( Nirgun Brahma) often referred to as the Source, the Self, the Absolute, God, Brahma, Creator, Divine Mother, or hundreds of other names. I love to refer to our Creator as the Divine Mother. When the rishis (ancient sages) talked about moksha (or mukthi) or Nirvana, the ultimate fruit of yoga, they referred to liberation from the endless cycle of rebirth, pain, and suffering in the physical realm.

Yoga is the science of union and the knowledge of the spine (related to the “kundalini” knowledge). So yoga is the union with the Divine in all its forms. Figuratively speaking, we can be in a state of yoga in every moment of our lives as we inhale and exhale mindfully. Becoming aware of your conscious breathing (with the help of subtle yet effective mindfulness tools and techniques) is realizing and experiencing that you are breathing in the Divine. Scientists affirm that everything is made of the same energy manifesting and expanding in billions of different forms. This energy is prana, the infinite, omnipresent and vital life-force that animates every living, sentient being and the universe. The cosmos is overflowing with it. Prana from Sanskrit can be translated as vibration, movement, or even motion and life-force energy. For this reason, pranayama (various types of yogic breathing techniques) extends beyond the control of breath; it is the grand portal to higher stages of consciousness, the universe, truth, and what we call God or Creator, the Source. Pranayama opens the door to endless divine power and infinite possibilities. Controlling this life-force energy is the sole purpose of pranayama. Sincere seekers have to be initiated by a genuine satguru to experience, learn, and practice the ancient art of pranayama. The higher we vibrate with prana, the more inner power we emanate.

Today we are witnessing a renaissance of this tradition, with yoga studios everywhere. Yet this trend is far from the genuine ancient and authentic yoga taught by the rishis for God-realization and liberation. Unfortunately, in the Western hemisphere many people still think of yoga as twisting one’s body into some kind of knot. Yoga goes far beyond exercise. It is an extremely rich and powerful spiritual path that involves body, mind, and spirit. As the revered sage Patanjali expounded in the yoga sutras thousands of years ago, hatha yoga prepares one’s body and mind for deep meditation.

This fascinating and ancient science of yoga is not a religion or a phi- losophy. Yoga does not fall into any category of an “ism.” Faith is not a requirement. You will still get many benefits even if you don’t believe in it. Yoga is a science. Anyone can test it and see the proof by having direct experiences with the Divine. A spirit of inquisitiveness, awareness, consciousness, patience, perseverance, diligent and discipline is required to thrive on the yogic path. If you have a longing and devotion for knowing the truth, success will surely come. In the Yoga tradition, the satguru is regarded as the highest embodiment of the Divine. It is with the grace and guidance of this true and genuine master that one reaches the highest state of ecstasy and liberation.

Yoga was brought from India by the popular pioneer and yogi, Swami Vivekananda, one of the most revered yogis and spiritual masters of the nineteenth century, a close devotee of the highly reputable and well- known mystic, saint, and enlightened master Paramahansa Ramakrishna. Swami Vivekananda introduced yoga to the West when he came to Amer- ica in 1893. He represented India as a delegate at the Parliament of World Religions in Chicago. That day brought a great boon to the Western hemi- sphere. Thereafter, Vivekananda conducted hundreds of public and private classes and lectures disseminating yoga in America and in Europe.

A few decades later, Paramahansa Yogananda set foot on American soil and went on to disseminate the knowledge of yoga in the West, especially “kriya” yoga, the yoga of mastering energy.

According to the ancient rishis and Sadhguru a phenomenal being of light, the Adiyogi (also known as the Adiguru) was the first yogi and supreme guru. He appeared more than ten thousand years ago in the upper region of the Himalayas at Mount Kailash and transmitted the science of yoga and the power of self-realization and liberation to the first seven mystical sages (rishis) to help expand and transform human consciousness to a higher state of vibration. Predating all religious traditions, these seven rishis, known as the Saptarishis, spread yoga over Mother Earth. In the Yoga tradition, the personal form of “Shiva” is revered as the Adiyogi and guru, from which the lineage of gurus descended.

Over the centuries, yoga spread and infiltrated into many different traditions, and new branches of yoga developed. By the grace of the Adiguru, today six major yoga branches have emerged: Hatha yoga (forceful) is the most familiar branch to Westerners; Bhakti (devotion-love); Jnana (right knowledge); Raja (royal), in which Kriya yoga falls; Karma (selfless action); and Tantra (continuity) remains to be explored by many millions of seekers. “Kriya” from Sanskrit means “completed action,” and the ultimate action of kriya yoga is to transform and master the energy. The words yogi (male) and yogini (female) designate those who experience the oneness of this phenomenal existence.

Spirituality means experiencing existence beyond the physical dimension of reality. Most people are trapped and limited within their five senses. As long as we continue to identify ourselves with the physical realm, we will remain caught in its boundaries. This creates the illusion of separation. As Jesus Christ said, “We are in this world, but not of it.” The subtler our being is, the more expansive and freer we become. In this altered state of consciousness, the individual can transcend and go beyond boundaries. Yoga is all about enhancing our perceptions to experience and see things as they are. Ultimately the journey on the spiritual path is to move from the grossest to the subtlest, where boundaries are crossed—from bondage to freedom.

Enlightenment is boundless within like the wind in the blue sky. Everyone can enjoy and benefit from her/his intoxicating fragrance. You need only be receptive and open to feel it. Self-realization is realizing there is no individual self. There is only One infinite being. Everything in the cosmos is interconnected like a spider web of pure consciousness.

True bliss emerged from the realm of the Anandamaya kosha (bliss body in the subtle body). One of the greatest blessings a sincere seeker may experience in his or her lifetime is the eternal and direct experience of his/her true natural state of enlightenment. Essentially, sat chit ananda is the ultimate grace that can be bestowed upon a human being. No matter what the conditions, when an individual is experiencing sat chit ananda, he or she remains firmly rooted in his/her divinity. My direct experience of sat chit ananda is what I often call and experience as intense Divine Love—exactly what the legendary ascended master Paramahansa Yogananda talked about.

The fire of mindfulness is the greatest alchemist’s wand for being home in this existential moment. Blissfulness, serenity and joy happen in this  eternal moment and experiencing God- that Divine presence within. The more awakened, the more you experience the oneness of this precious existence, and become one with the Supreme Divine Lover. And the more universal responsibility we have toward all living beings’ well-being and happiness. Ultimately it is all the same energy and supreme intelligent consciousness.
